Antique c.1912 EDWARDIAN Satin & Net Tea Gown Dress Click Image To See More Photos
Fabulous antique EDWARDIAN era tea dress- GORGEOUS champagne pink and peach silk satin dress with classic (c. 1910-1915) features. Amazing net overlay on the bodice and fabulous floral soutache style embroidery all over- gorgeous silk satin waistband and colorful floral details- This is an outstanding Titanic Era dress with such beautiful details and colors- The dress is very similar in style and details to a few ( Poiret &; Lanvin ) dresses in the Kyoto Fashion book. This dress is in amazingly great condition with no tears or stains- the body of the dress is fine but not fragile or torn- it is still strong for being almost 100 years old!! There is very minimal wear and no holes or stains- There is a water line on THE INSIDE of the dress around the waistband but it DOESNOT show through or affect the dress in the least! It is missing one button on hem- no big deal! Truly an outstanding piece in classic colors and style of the Edwardian era. This piece is estate fresh and I only know that it comes from the original owner's estate and that they were a wealthy Galveston family. The dress must have been very carefully stored as it is so well preserved! There are hook eye closures all down the back and the back bow/ribbon detail also has hook eye closures- the ribbon on the back is loose and needs reinforcing -an easy fix. This is a lovely dress and ready for a new and loving home! STUNNING!!!!

Fabulous vintage c.1915- 1925 flapper dress- It was kindof hard to date with the style but I am guessing no later than 1925 and no earlier than 1912- An AMAZING stunning vintage dress- gorgeous black silk/satin body with two panel over dress and net asymetrical details on sides of skirt panels- GORGEOUS super sparkly blue DECO floral design in dequins all over the over dress front and back- Fab net details along neckline and underarms- Fabulous jet beads hang from the net detail on sides of skirt- This dress is in superb condition for being as old as it is and is still very sturdy and strong- There are no tears or shredding the the body of the dress- the silk/satin body is strong and free of stains or tears- The sequinned over dress is also in fabulous condition- the body under the sequins is net and there are no stains or missing sequins- There is one 2 inch area near the hem that is ripped but SO VERY MINOR and easily repaired- The shoulders are sturdy and no fraying or tears- The sequins are all in tact and it is just GORGEOUS!! There is silk lining in the bodice with some slight shreds and stains but it is very minimal and DOES NOT detract from wearing or displaying the dress-ONLY VISIBLE INSIDE the dress- There are elaborate snap buttons all down the back of the dress for closure- There is a very slight white deodarant residue under one arm- no big deal easily removed with proper wash!!The net side of the skirt has come unattached about 6 inches-on one side but that just needs to be restitched and it will be fine!! I was truly amazed that this dress is in such fabulous condition- It is a stunning example of an early FRENCH Titanic/Flapper era dress! I truly cannot say enough about this ASTOUNDING dress!! Perfect for the discriminating collector!!! A GORGEOUS piece of FASHION HISTORY!!! ON A SCALE OF 1-10 ---I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE THIS A VERY HIGH 9.5!!!!!
